Martha Criscuolo, owner, has been involved in the arts since the 1970s, when she papier-mached her first salad dressing bottle at Pine Orchard Nursery School on the Connecticut shoreline. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with an English major and minors in Art & Italian, Martha pursued graduate work in Art Education, entering a career as a certified K-12 Art teacher. Teaching art since 2000, Martha has worked locally with the Charleston County School District as well as the Gibbes Museum of Art (read more about her teaching here and here). Together with her high school sweetheart-husband Brian, a software engineer, who graduated from Boston College in 1996, and their daughters Prue and Bea, Martha opened earthArt in the summer of 2010 in hopes of sharing the joy of artmaking on a larger, more social level. The Criscuolo family invites you to come to the pottery & art studio to create, to learn a new skill, to celebrate a special occasion, or to just make a gift for a friend. Once you're here, you'll get a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life as you experience the comfort and tranquility of an upscale studio environment. See you soon!
